Desktop Services job at UofM

Thursday, May 22nd, 2014

Medical School Information Services (MSIS) is looking for talented, engaged, and passionate individuals with broad range of technical skills to work in our Service Desk.

The Service Desk is the key to our service delivery model within MSIS – and is NOT your traditional help desk. We aim to resolve the majority of issues in a single interaction with our customers, starting with the Service Desk. Each day we fields calls and emails from across the Health System and the University on any of our products and services, so we train and staff with the very best people we can find. We are looking for people who not only have great skills and knowledge, but who embrace the higher goals of understanding how providing a great customer experience directly connects to the discoveries, clinical care and education that happens here every day.

If this sounds interesting, we’d love to hear from you! We believe that a diverse staff with a broad range of experience will greatly benefit the Service Desk, even if you’re not in a traditional desktop support role today.

Sec Consultant Jobs at Accenture

Tuesday, March 11th, 2014

Hi James,

I’m not sure if you remember me, but I graduated from with my B.S. in Information Assurance at EMU in April 2012. I have been working at Accenture as a technology security consultant for almost 2 years now. We have quite a few openings around the country and I know many of the people at EMU are qualified for the positions. I am willing to work with people to get these positions filled if you can help me spread the word.

Most of our positions are for experienced hires, so I would prefer this be targeted towards people in the graduate program. I am open to people in the undergraduate program as long as they have real world experience and not just an internship.

Since we are a global company there are too many positions available to post them all to the IA Blog. For each person that is interested I recommend the following:

1. Send me their resume (Word or PDF) and a short description of their preferred job (just so I know which roles to look for).
2. I will review the information they send to me and find a best fit job for them.
3. I will talk with them to make sure they are interested in the job and understand the requirements since most of the jobs will require travel.
4. I will submit a referral for them.

Let me know what you think or if you have any questions.
