IT Support Position

The Housing Information Technology Office (HITO) is searching for a team member to join our Infrastructure and Operations team to assist in supporting the IT operations and services for the 600 person staff of University Housing and some operations for the 10,000 students in the residence halls. Primary focus will be on unit specific systems and technology not currently supported by our shared service providers, including, but not limited to, access control card readers, point of sale equipment, security DVRs, laundry and vending, and student room access control. Our new team member will participate in the planning, operation, and maintenance of the hardware, software, server and network connections of the technology systems in use. They will also consult with and assist our shared service providers (e.g. MiWorkspace) in integrating unit specific technology and enterprise applications into a broader support structure. We are looking for candidates with a broad technical knowledge coupled with the ability and desire to learn new systems and innovative technological applications, along with the ability to consult with, and advocate for, our users in the resolution of technology system problems. One of our driving principles is to help those we serve do what they do better.

Note, this position will require after hours and weekend support as part of an on-call team.
