Merit Network Inc. is seeking a candidate to be an active participant in current development of the Michigan Cyber Range and its associated research and education projects. Specifically, this individual will develop the technical content for the Range’s expanding catalog of cyber security and information technology courses. As a member of Merit’s Red Team, the candidate will help plan, and execute cyber warfare exercises as part of the Michigan Cyber Range’s education and training mission.

In addition, the candidate will also coordinate activities with other groups in and outside of Merit. The candidate will conduct a variety of programming tasks including program design, program coding, debugging, and documentation for software/systems and applications programs.  Assignments are generally of a challenging technical nature.

The target salary range for this position is $46,000-$53,000. The actual salary offered may be higher based on the qualifications and experience of the selected candidate. The position is at the desktop support intermediate level within the LSA IT Service Desk.

The Data Management Services team is seeking a qualified candidate who is excited to execute on our data management strategy ensuring rapid delivery of projects including developing and maintaining ETL processes for multiple missions,  and delivery of analytical data sets. The qualified candidate would:

•   Assist with the design and delivery of data models which power Business Intelligence and Analytics initiatives, dashboards, scorecards and reporting for the Health System.

•   Design, develop, modify, test, document, and implement data warehouse data sets, reports, and queries.

•   Design, develop, modify, test, document and implement data integration needs for applications and products.

•   Develop and follow established ETL(Extract, Transform and Load) development standards, methodologies, and best practices.

Systems Integration Application Developer Lead

Job Duties

Support application integration and the enterprise data warehouse at the University of Michigan’s Information and Technology Services (ITS).  Collaborative development, design, modification, and testing of application programs, APIs, web services, data sets, reports, and queries on the WSO2 Carbon platform. Apply vendor-provided software fixes to WSO2 ESB, DSS and API Manager. Develop and execute test plans to support infrastructure and software upgrades and releases. Create and maintain test data.  Maintain appropriate reports and change logs. Lead and coordinate projects. Conduct analyses of and resolve dependency and integration issues across product areas. Provides production support, including problem analysis/resolution and on-call support. Collaborates with various groups (customers, help desk, technical infrastructure) to identify and resolve application and integration issues.

Role within the Division of Nephrology:  Computational Biologist in Translational Medicine for ‘functional genomics of renal disease’ research in the Applied Systems Biology Core at the University of Michigan.

Merit Network is seeking a highly motivated candidate to join our Information Technology group. You will be part of a team providing large-scale, high-volume services, infrastructure, security and customer service to Merit Members, customers, and staff.

The Information Assurance and Compliance Analyst will be responsible for overseeing the operations of Merit’s security and risk management program. This position will work with various teams, both Merit Network and external stakeholders, to conduct IT risk assessments against systems and processes, perform vulnerability scans along with developing and documenting remediation plans of discovered weaknesses. The analyst will also be responsible for recommending and implementing internal information security related tools and automate those tools to streamline processes and improve response times to threats.
