Internship(s) at DTE

Thursday, December 17th, 2015

I am writing you to hopefully get some IA students interested in DTE Energy’s co-op program.

Students work full time (16 hours/week) per term. There are three terms per year that typically mimic the standard school schedule. The terms are:

Winter Term (January – May)

Summer Term (May – September)

Fall (September – December)

Both undergraduate and graduate students are eligible. Students usually work two or three terms at DTE prior to their graduation. Students new to the program must have an acceptable Grade Point Average (minimum 2.5) to be considered eli gible. It’s too late for the Winter term, but we are looking for students for Summer and Fall terms in 2016.

If students are interested in the wireless network infrastructure side of things (my team), they should apply online and send me ( David Petrut – petrutd@dteenergy.com) resume to help my team find them from the applicant pool. We work on microwave backhaul and SCADA networks, so it’s a great opportunity to apply networking and security concepts as well as learn about new technologies.
