JOB DESCRIPTION:
An Information Security Analyst I assists in the monitoring and reporting of security incidents related to Cabela’s computer systems and networks, assists in development of processes and procedures that will provide strong security layers for Cabela’s systems, works with project and department teams to identify and resolve Payment Card Industry (PCI), Sarbanes, Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) and other compliance and security issues, and creates, distributes and provides training materials and sessions on IT Security awareness. Protecting Cabela’s computer and communications network from intrusion and compromise requires constant monitoring of network traffic, ongoing security awareness by the entire company, and diligent analysis of the way Cabela’s decides to implement new technologies and business processes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide information to security management and leadership on the status of current levels of attack and vulnerabilities identified and blocked by system and network defenses. To inform management of the security issues and determine if action is required.
  • Bring our network and computer systems into line with company policy and various compliance requirements imposed by outside organizations and state and federal laws.
  • Identify and address PCI, Sarbanes, C-TPAT and other compliance requirements issues.
  • Determine the levels of compliance and vulnerabilities in current Cabela’s systems.
  • Work with Enterprise Information Security Manager (EISM) on the development and presentation of security training materials.
  • Provide internal and external auditors with the documentation and reports required to complete assessments.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum:  High School or Associates degree with 2-4 years of experience
  • Preferred:     Bachelor’s degree with 5-7 years of experience
  • Certification:    CISSP, CISP
