It’s A Sun-Shiny Day

By: Kerri Musick

It’s a beautiful day! Carpe diem, my fellow Eagles. The birds are tweeting, the pond fountains are going (but aren’t they always?), and people emerge from their residence halls from hibernation. Today is the day to take advantage of this abnormally warm weather and get involved on campus.

Beach volleyball: You can get a nice tan, ample exercise, make friends, and get sand in your shorts. What’s not to like?

Picnic:  Snag a turkey club from Marketplace, spread out a blanket, and harness your Vitamin D intake for the day.

Basketball: Shoot some hoops, drain some 3’s, and perhaps YOU could be the next MAC champion.

Rollerblade, go for a run, bike ride, unicycle: The spring air encourages me to participate in some cardio workouts, there’s no day but today.

Nestle up by the Lake: Everyone seems to stake their claim somewhere around Big Bob’s Lakehouse. Bring a book, a significant other, and enjoy the breeze off the water.

Tightrope walking:  Every time I walk by the Pavilion by the Rec, there are some crafty individuals tightrope walking. Why not make some new friends and knock a task off your bucket list while you’re at it?
