Two different groups of people have been morphed into one by the simple word “prepster.”

Prepsters are people who are a combination of being very preppy and hipster. They have been sweeping the nation especially in college towns (even here at Eastern Michigan University). Prepsters are similar to hipsters in the way that they adopt certain trends such as being trendy and somewhat as an independent. A prepster can be caught wearing the typical boat shoe “Sperry,” cardigans, skinny jeans of all colors but especially just normal skinny jeans, Polos, and sometimes the-ever-so-friendly blazer.

A lot of times prepsters wear glasses in order to make them look better (or sometimes see better too). A store that one could find a prepster in would be J. Crew. I would consider myself as a prepster. I dress to impress but also do my own thing and do not conform to what society has put on the world.
