After being at EMU for four years, I might know a few things … so I’m sharing what I know.

Where to go for … A GOOD LAUGH!

Some doctor once said that laughter is the best medicine, someone that knows about working out once said that laughing works your abs, someone that knows about drugs once said that laughing is addictive, and someone wise once uploaded a video of a baby laughing to YouTube. I think we can all just agree that laughter is a good thing. So to help in your laughing endeavors I have a few suggestions of places you can go to have a good laugh.

1. Quirk and Sponberg Theatres: Our theatre department does not disappoint. Every year they put on multiple productions (dramas and comedies), so you are guaranteed to laugh at least once.  To find out what is happening on stage visit their website  www.emich.edu/emutheatre/
2. Laugh Lounge: This is a Campus Life event that happens once a month on Thursday nights. Local stand-up comedians come together to make your night fun and entertaining. Best part is that it is completely free, no ticket required. For laugh lounge dates, check out Campus Life’s website.
3. EMU Memes: Get on Facebook and search EMU Memes. This is a student run Facebook page that pokes fun at daily things on EMU’s campus. If you are a current student, you will get it, if you are a prospective student, you will understand once you get to campus.

There are many other ways to have a good laugh and work on those abs. These are just a few suggestions if you are on EMU’s campus.
