Where To Go for LBC Credit

By: Mallory Apel

After being at EMU for four years, I might know a few things … so I’m sharing what I know.

Where to go for: LBC Credit

We hear all the time about how we need to have a full college experience. To do so, Eastern has developed Learning Beyond the Classroom credit.

LBC Credit can be earned in so many ways. Examples include: Guest lectures, some campus life programs, almost anything Diversity and Community Involvement does, some classes, sports teams and for being a Residence Advisory. But by far the BEST way to get LBC Credit is by studying abroad!

If you haven’t considered studying abroad yet, you should! I went on the Western European Cultural History Tour, traveled for 35 days and had the experience of a lifetime. Besides making friends and eating amazing food, having art class in the Louvre, history class in a castle in Germany and meeting people from all over, is an experience you will not soon forget.

If Western Europe is not your place, there are so many other opportunities to study aboard for breaks, semesters or for the full year. If you are interested in studying abroad, head on over to the Study Abroad office in 103 Boone Hall. (Boone is located across from Pease Auditorium and next to Pierce Hall). Advising hours are 1-4 p.m., Monday through Thursday.  Or call 734-487-2424.
